Festa Al Lago WPT Level 1 hand vs Benyamine/Doug Lee (190bb\'s deep)
Near the end of level 1 in the recent Bellagio WPT. 90 min levels, 20k starting stacks, real nice structure.
I got a sick table draw. Starting at seat 1; Blair Rodman, Eric Froelich, me (probably look like a young internet donk,) Dewey Tomko, an old rich european dude who looks familiar from TV and knows everyone at the table, John Gale, Doug Lee, David Benyamine, Fred Goldberg (10th in this year's main event,) and some dude in seat 10 who I recognize from the Rio this year and also knows everyone at the table. Releveant players in the hand; Benyamine (big game player, who also would later mention he is on a 2.6 million downswing at Full Tilt,) has been playing very tight. This might be his first raise at the table, maybe his second at most. He has limped a few times but not really played any big pots. Doug Lee - This is the twitchy, dorky asain guy who won a circuit event against Jennifer Harman and Bellande. He has come off pretty donkish on TV and so far he is defintely the fish at the table. He plays a lagtard style where he will take any piece of the board to the river even if it looks like he is behind. To his credit, he will put people to the test with big bets if he feels they are weak or full of [censored]. My image is pretty tight. I really haven't played a big pot yet, stolen the blinds a couple times, saw the flop and check/folded a couple times. Generally I am card dead and not trying to play marginal hands against better players than me. Onto the hand.. I have 19k, Benyamine has about 20k, Lee has about 25k after sucking out on Froelich. The table has been playing generally tight, with no 5k+ pots except those involving Lee. 50/100 blinds Benyamine raises to 350 UTG. I have QdQc on the CO. I felt if I reraise I define my hand too much, so I call. Doug Lee is also the BB and I would like to keep him in. John Gale calls in the SB and Lee calls like he would with 90% of hands here. (Pot: 1400.) Flop is 4d 4c 3d. Checked to Benyamine, who fires out 1500. I decide to call, Gale folds, Lee calls. (Pot: 5900) Turn is 2s. Lee checks, Benya checks, I fire out 4500. Lee calls again, and Benyamine starts loading up his chips into one stack and pushes it in. I have 12650 left or so to call. Comments on all streets appreciated. |

under repped or not the BB flat called him twice on this board. He's beat here by at least 1 player

if lee has a big hand he's at least raising the turn
i think he either has a FD or is being stubborn with a middle pair |
