Default Set on a scary board

Sorry I do not have the converter but here it is.

6-handed 2/4 on Stars. Reads: Villian has been solid, no reads on anyone else.

Hero UTG ($400)
Villian UTG+1 ($400)
...
Button ($300)

Hero dealt (6h 6d)
[Pre-flop]
Hero calls $4
Villian raises to $20
fold
Button calls $20
fold,fold
Hero calls $16

Flop [5s-6c-7h]

Would he raise to $20 preflop with 3-4, 9-10, 8-8, or 7-7? Those are the only hands that can beat you after the turn. If he is solid like you stated then probably not. He most likely has an over pair and you set would be good. Since there was no bet after the flop, it would be hard for him to put you on a set. You most likely had the best hand. My advice would be not to slow play your set and bet the flop next time and see what happens.

slowplaying a set is pretty terrible in general unless u have about 5BBs left... its a cash game tho buddy, go win some monies

The only overpair he ever has here is 99.

What hand range do you put the villian on to say that?

I can see A-9 being played this way (preflop raise, check, all-in). 7-7 are a possibility. With 8-8 I am starting to think flop bet is highly likely for the villian, as is with 9-9. On the other hand, what can he have that we can beat? Maybe AA or KK that are tilting slightly on a scary flop?
