Im In Detroit This weekend......

I did a search but everything was pretty dated.
Can anyone give me the rundown on the best place to play?

I am from detroit but haven't been back since the casinos just opened and none of them had poker.

I know where Greektown is and the Windsor casino, but where is Motor City? Is it just off the lodge? and what is the actual hiway number of the lodge if it is?

and is the GT Casino where trappers alley was?

And advice would be greatly appreciated, bet place to play best times, etc.

BTW Id prefer a 5-10 NL, 2-5 NL or 20-40 Limit in that order.

Greektown is just off the highway and I think it's in Trappers alley. It's attached to Fishbones. Motor City is off the Lodge (grand river and the lodge). It's the old wonder bread factory. Lodge is M10. Both have 5-10NL w/ no cap on the buyin. There is a lot of money on the table. I heard that sometimes Greektown has a 2-5 game going on the weekend. I haven't been there in months, but the word is that it's pretty dead over there. They used to have a nightclub right below the poker room so playing there on the weekend was rough w/ the floor (literally) shaking. You can call in advance to both places and you have an hour to get there. Search for my name for the past 2 months in this forum and you'll possibly find more info (or at least posts that relate to detroit)

There will be alot of action in the GT poker room this weekend. I played alot during the superbowl week and games were good.

The info was pretty much spot on.

Greektown game was more profitible, with some crazy asians making things very interesting.

Motor city is better run, but the action at the greektown 5/10 300 min NL was better. Some wait, but not to bad.

btw the $16 an hour time was a bit much, but what can you do.

oh yeah, anyone looking for a good pot limit omaha game, check out greektown on the weekends.

Its not my game, but even I can recognize that anyone half way decent would just kill it.

The Motor City 5/10NL last night was pretty good. I think there were 3 games going at one point.

That game used to play more like a 10-25 PLO game since there was often a straddle. It's been over a year since I played it though, but it sure is action packed!

After going back to Motor City again on Sunday, I would recomend Motor City over Greek Town.

A bit chaotic at times, but still better run, not as many high roller maniacs (in detroit terms) but a more stable beatable game with less variance.

any limit games at either place? last time i was down at greektown, 10/20 limit was the biggest game.
