I know I had pretty weak bets all around, but I was trying to get him to check raise me.

Why would you want this?

I'd fold the river.

I can't see him doing this with much... what is he representing? BD diamonds?? we have the Kd.

78? 23? 37? seems like an odd play to peal this flop.

It's possible he has a set... but I think 99/44 usually raises somewhere.

That leave 2 pair... he might have A9 or A4, maybe A5... but I just don't get it.

You basically beat a bluff, or a weird AQ, AJ. There is no draw, so I think you have to give him credit for 2 pair.

I think top pair is only valuable if you protect it.

Flop: Bet $15.

If called by fish, Bet $45 on turn.

Flop: Bet $15.

I fail to see why that would be a good amount.

Depends on the opponent. If he's a World Class (?) Floater or a fish who never folds his bottom pair no kicker, then you're getting some extree value by overbetting zee p0t.

Not sure exactly why it was advocated in this particular hand as no reads were provided. And whatnot.
