Default NL 25-AK line check

villan had 4 aggression over 30 hands

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($23)
UTG ($19.32)
UTG+1 ($22.15)
UTG+2 ($12.90)
MP1 ($26.35)
MP2 ($7.70)
MP3 ($7.10)
CO ($10.50)
Hero ($28.72)
SB ($14.75)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
7 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, 1 fold, BB calls $0.50.

Flop: ($1.60) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $1, Hero raises to $3, BB raises to $7, Hero calls $4.

Turn: ($15.60) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB calls $15.25 (All-In), Hero calls $15.25.

River: ($46.10) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $46.10

I called to re-evaluate on the turn and was prepared to fold as this was a very dry flop, but then i hit my 2 pair which gave me more ways to beat him and this with his aggression and the fact he just moved in on the turn rather than value betting led me to believe i was was ahead here the 33% of the time i needed to be to make this profitable.

any views?

I play this the same, he could have a set but more likely something you beat like a flopped two pair or maybe badly played QQ or JJ.

Two pair? BB Called with K7, K2, or 72?

I guess with an AF of 4, you're assuming he's just trying to push you off? How would you play this against a player you read as solid?

Against a tight player i think you prob have to assume a set here but if i was getting good odds i may call. you?

If I was up against a player that I know to be good, I would have to fold the turn, however, I would play the flop the same.

The BB could easily have taken the open raise from the button as a steal attempt and wanted to defend his blind figuring he may not be too far behind with something like K7s or even A7 thinking his 7 is good on the flop and turning the two pair.

Yes, yes and quite possibly yes ("Zomg, 2 sooted cards and I already have money in. Call!")

OP gave us a read on villains post-flop aggresison. He said nothing about his pre-flop calling standards.

I'm not folding here. I'm sure we're beat some percentage of the time but I don't like to make folding top2 a habit at this limit. I think a lot of the time here you will see Kx that got scared\pissed of the ace and is trying to move you out.

What about a call on the flop, instead of a raise? Or am I misusing the WA/WB idea?

Looks fine to me as played. You may be up against a set some times, but with villains stats I don't see how you can get away from this hand.

Maybe just call original bet on flop to avoid bloating the pot.

Raise more preflop. I think all the money is going in here no matter what.
