Mathematica problem sets make up an extremely tiny proportion of my Calc II grade.

its pretty great for solving/simplifying/etc algebraic expressions for problem sets, but i find matlab generally more intuitive and useful for anything more complicated.

Matlab is def. more of an industry standard for doing actual calculations.

I would try to get matlab... Ive used it before and it seems pretty standard and powerful.

Or how about just a ti-89 or my favorite.. a number two pencil [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Why is a computer necessary for basic Calculus nowadays? Or even a calulator? Seriously, I'm curious what they are teching now that would require this.
