Default 10/20 2 pair spew?

I bought in for $1000 and just CDU'ed a $400 min buy monkey, so I'm very short.


Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $10/$20
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $4202
CO: $4646.50
Button: $1704
Hero: $570
BB: $2860

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with
UTG raises to $70, 2 folds, Hero calls, BB folds.

Flop: ($160, 2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $115, Hero raises all-in $500

that is like the last hand you want to play with your stack, in the worst position.

I posted to take the beating so I wouldn't do it again. It was tilt, pure and simple.

I think maybe smooth call, check/fold turn and push river if checked behind on turn, no?

First of all playing on shortstack is not always the best way to go. Try to buy in full. However you can be successfull playing shortstack but that means not playing hands that normally have playing value because of implied odds because you just reduced your implied odds by alot playing shortstacked.
and btw, your postflop is spew.

With a stack that short you cant even PLAY implied odds based hands like 56s.

Your game should be entirely baesd on high card strength and big pairs, thats it.
