Default What will the \"pros\" do if sites like FT are shut down?

Just wondering something here. I was watching the WPT on tv the other nite and John Dags states that he wins or losses 100k online everyday. Sure we all seen that I am sure. I heard Phil Ivey had 200k on a table last nite. I am sure that if Fulltilt/online poker is shut down that it won't hurt Ivey. However, people like Dags make most of thier bank roll from online play. I doubt he could do the same thing offline.

Personally I prefer offline play so this barely hurts me as I only got involved in online tourneys. I rarely played cash games due to cheating at partypoker back a few years ago (yes this was before MoneyMaker won the WSOP), also I got burned for some cash at pokerstars.

Ok, now the Dags lovers can bash me...lol

Not necessarily bashing but dags was playing live long before he was playing online, im sure he could easily find a big enough game to play in live

Ivey had around 200k the other night, yes. TLK rebought for 1mil. A few other big names came and went during the course of the game. Quite interesting to watch. I doubt that's all that unusual, although it was the first time I'd paid much attention to watching the high stakes games.

I find this hard to believe, considering he's not even 24 yet. But yes, he'd be fine, I'd say.

I'd be more interested in what the pros who own a piece of FT would stand to loes if FT shut down. Also lol at people cheating in cash games but not tournaments online.

you know that u are, indeed, allowed to start playing poker live, before online, regardless of age and whether the internet actually exists, right?

Is this true? I thought he broke out onto the live scene as an internet hot shot, then became big live.
