Replacing Poker Stars Cards

I don't like the look of any of the available cards on Poker Stars so I replaced the default bmps with other images. The images are resized to the same dimensions as the Stars default cards and I've also changed the launcher target from PokerStarsUpdate.exe to PokerStars.exe. When I open up a table I still get the default cards. What am I doing wrong?

I'm curious also, I've been having problems installing the waffle card mod, but I didnt want to start a new thread.

I delete the old images, replace with the desired images, then Stars updates and everything's back to stock/standard. Dont know if I have to load Stars with the ps.bat file every time or what. If I do that, it keeps the new background, but I havent had any luck with the cards either.

In the lobby, go to view > themes. Click "Deck" button. Change to simplified.

You can set your desktop icon to run PS.bat automatically. Right click on the desktop icon, and go to properties. In the shortcut tab, change the target to "C:\ProgramFiles\PokerStars\PS.bat"

Hopefully this works for you.

bump

i ran ps.bat from matt's site, then did simplified but that's already the default. i'm using the default theme, so it's green table with a blue background. but i'm not getting the new cards.

in the directory C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\chips&deck

it has the waffle cards there but i can't get them to work in the program. they are also in the "new" folder in that directory where the simple cards are in the "old." i'll try switching things around.

Not the perfect thread, but didn't want to create a new one.
I am using AEKD's mod w/o teh avatar cirlces and the cards show up over my chip stack so I have no idea how deep I am or if i need to top off during the hand.

What files need to be altered or whatever so that I can see my chipstack while playing? Thhanks for the help.
