Which monitor is better, <$300
Costco has some sales on monitors, and I want to spend <$300 (well, my wife wants me to spend <$300)
The first is a Sceptre 22" Wide HDMI LCD 5ms 1200:1 300 cd/mē 1680 x 1050 WSXGA+ VGA, DVI, & HDMI Headset & Microphone Jack 2 USB 2.0 Ports Super Slim Bezel http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...v=&browse= The second is a Viewsonic 22" Wide DVI LCD 5ms 700:1 280 cd/m2 1680 x 1050 WSXGA+ OptiSync Digital/Analog Inputs Integrated Stereo Speakers http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...v=&browse= I think my graphics card is SiS 661 FX with 32MB Which of these two is best? Is there another monitor of similar price that is better? |

Re: Which monitor is better, <$300
1200:1 contrast ratio is better than 700:1 contrast ratio so as far as the specs are concerned the Sceptre will provide better quality picture.

Or, since you can't 4 table without overlap on either of those monitors...
Samsung 204b 20.1" 1600x1200 $287 http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?Sku=6319653 |

I'm not sure the obsession with LCD's anyway. Yeah they're more stylish, but I don't think most people realize they are actually slower and poorer in performance than most CRT's, not to mention more expensive.

CRT's take up friggin huge amounts of space. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah the space issue and weight of them is a definite downside. |

All my internet surfing is done during the day on company time Thanks for the tips, I'll try the Samsung. |

Re: Which monitor is better, <$300
Yeah if you want to multitable get the 204b, I play mostly at stars though and there resizable windows give me no problem what so ever, so I'm getting a samsung 225bw, I've always loved a widescreen monitor. Not enough cash for a 24" though
