Default Theoretically - If I had an offshore account and address...

If I had access to an account, that had an address offshore, let's say Bermuda, but I live in the US and I play on-line poker - Is this illegal?

Side note - I cashed out my Party Account before "Da Bush" made his "X" on Friday. Damn, this is as bored as I ever been surfing the net...

Party blocked real money play for American players AND from American IP addresses.

American in Bermuda = No Party.
Bermudonesian in USA = No Party.

As someone said in one of the other threads on this, why would you want to play on Party now? To remind you of the good old days?

I'm an American who has lived in Argentina for the past year on a tourist visa (not officially a permanent resident).

I can play on Party. No reason to play there though-- dead site.

Yes, its very illegal. That would constitute money laundering, and could theoretically result in jail time. Of course nobody knows if this will ever happen, but it is possible as the laws regarding money laundering were made stronger by the Patriot Act. My lawyer and I were talking about this just yesterday, his advice was to either move out of the country or start playing more B&M if the remaining sites close to US borders because the back-door options are just too risky at this point.
