Default 2 pair vs. flush draw

This is a hand that happened at Lucky Chances Casino in the Bay Area. I figured I might get a response here.
Let me tell u my image. I was sat at a table for about 15 minutes. 3 hands in I get Kings. Bad beat, whatever. 2 hands later I go all-in with Queens(20 dollars of 100 left).Player to my right calls with Aces. I flop Quads. Nice! So this is 5 hands into sitting down. I have shown down 2 monsters. So there's my image up to that point.
10 hands later I'm under the gun with A7 of clubs. I raise 4 bets(16 dollars). This is 1 on the button, 1 on the SB, and 2 on the BB. 4 dollars opens the pot. So...I raise 4 bets, get a caller on the cutoff.
The flop comes with A72, two diamonds. I'm first to act so I check(maybe not the best move). He checks. The turn brings another diamond. I push in the rest of my stack which is around 40 dollars(made money with the queens, remember?). He calls with the flush of course, and drags the pot.
My question is...should I have pushed on the flop, before he caught up? Or was my check good, attempting to trap.Or was my raise Preflop bad?

The pot was $32 and you only had a relatively small amount left. I would have made a bet on the flop of at least half the pot -- 3/4 of the pot. But don't be too hard on yourself -- in the LC 1-1-2 game, anyone with a flush draw is calling even if you moved all in on the flop with your small amount remaining.

so in this hand you started with 60 bux, this is like micro stakes surely.

also, clear up your post a little bit. Bet the flop next time.
