Default Bet Holdem freezing withdrawals

I requested a withdrawal ~2 weeks ago via a fedex check, they stated that the amount was too large to send via check and that they would rather do a bank wire. I setup a bank wire with them yesterday, aftering checking my account today the money was redeposited. I spoke with a manager and she stated that with the signing of the bill they put a hold on all US accounts as far as playing/depositing/and WITHDRAWING indefinitely. Although they are scheduled to make an announcement Monday.

It seems insane to have any money in the Primas or to a lesser extent the Ongame sites right now. They were already acting shaky enough when things were clear.

Exactly why I tried to make the largest withdrawal I could as soon as I heard about the bill being passed.

Nice. They announce its business as usual then they do this.

"BetHoldem.com Notice:

Some of our players have voiced concern about recent legal developments in the United States and the decision of some other poker rooms to close the accounts of those players located in the United States.

Betholdem want to assure you that we are legally licensed and regulated in Antigua. We are licensed to offer its services to anyone in the world. All player accounts are 100% safe and you will have access to these funds on demand. Your experience at Betholdem will remain unchanged in the forseeable future.

We thank you for playing at Betholdem and we hope you continue to enjoy your poker experience at Betholdem. If you have any further questions we will be happy to answer them. See you at the tables playing the game that we all love."

I don't work for BetHoldem and I am not an affiliate. I just play there. For those who don't know, BetHoldem is a Prima skin.

Hooray for another site announcing positive intentions.

I just spoke with the manager of Bet Holdem. He says, and I do believe him, that he was blindsided by this decision which was made at BetCorp, which runs Bet Holdem among other sites.

He assured me that an announcement would be made on Monday, and that all of my funds were safe and would be able to be withdrawn.

It's little comfort and this is a very disheartening development, but I am going to attempt to not freak out for 3 days and await further word from them.
