2nd nuts
Villian (SB) is 39/13/1.7 after 426 hands.
Hero has a LAG image preflop and semi-LAG postflop. Me and Villian has been up against eachother a few times this session starting with me winning a few half big pots and then he winning a few. He has not 3-betted me from the blinds on any occassion earlier this session. Stacks: Hero: $585 Villian: $1069 Prima 3/6 5-handed Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 folds, Hero raises to 21, Villian calls, BB folds Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (48, 2 players) Villian checks, Hero bets 41, Villian calls Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (130, 2 players) Villian checks, Hero checks River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (130, 2 players) Villian checks, Hero bets 128, Villian thinks for 5 seconds and pushes, 395 for me to call. Easy fold? Comments on all streets appreciated. |

Re: 2nd nuts
Well, it sure isn't an easy fold. Against a passive enough player, I might be able to find a fold here, but it would take some doing.
You don't think you will see something stupid like QJ or TT or a naked bluff one-third of the time, which is all you need to justify a call? And throw in the added times when he has KQ, and you just sucked out a split. The tilt factor should be pretty profitable in this case. Let me say the same thing in another way: He would have to have AK MORE than TWO-THIRDS of the time for a fold to be correct. I don't see it. |

Re: 2nd nuts
Um, I'm not folding this. I doubt he's check-calling a PSB on that rainbow flop with AK.

Re: 2nd nuts
Very easy call, I suppose all streets are snadard, though you could bet turn depending on read. I'd bet less on the river though, as I want him to be induced to raise with an 8 or to call with some freaky 2 pair holding.

Seems like it was a clear call. I did call and he did have AK for the nuts.
Was a little tilted atm because of a 350 worthy misclick a little time before this hand. It did felt like a spew/tilt-call for some reason but I guess it wasnt then. To salt the wound this was against the same guy as the misclick, the 444-hand (that I won) I posted 2 days ago was also vs this guy, next time I will get him. |

Re: Result
Remember that pause before pushing on the check-raise. If he does that again, fold.

Re: Result
i don't know that i fold this ATM but this is calling for a split 90% of the time.
