Chicago/East Chicago on Friday Nights

I'm goign to make a swing by one of the east chicago area casino's tonight, and wanted to get some ideas of the better spot to hit: Resorts or Majestic?

I play limit around 5/10 (I assume majestic still has 6/12). Can anyone give me some advice on the quality of games, how busy, atmosphere, etc.

I plan in getting there are 4-6 through the night, so I assume getting a game shouldn't be a terribly long wait.

I was at Resorts East about three months ago... my only time there.

I stopped in there at 8 pm on a Sunday night and the room was packed. They had games all the way up to 10/20 NL and 20/40 limit.

They had probably 20 cash games going and every game had a waiting list but one... the 5/10 O8 w/ full kill (my game of choice anyhow).

The game was good with a nice variety of overagressive players and clueless fish.

If I remember, 5-10 limit HE was probably the smallest game they spread.

The room and casino as a whole were well, a hole.

You really should be fine in the 4-6 range at Majestic Star. Their 6/12 is now 5/10 w/kill and there was only a single table going a couple Saturday's back when I played in it. If you're going, call ahead to get on the list.

Anyone got the phone numbmers handy? I have them printed out in my glovebox (lol), just in case.

But I don't have them electronically anymore.

The waits can be long at either place, depending - phone first, an hour out!

Thanks for the advice all, I ended up at resorts and played 5/10 for 5 hours or so, and actually had only a 5 minute wait at around 6pm Central. I called both ahead about 45 minutes. Majestic only had 3/6 games going? but said there should be 5/10 w/ kill later. Resorts had some decent 5/10 games going. Some odd play, bad play by me, and i left with a slight buzz, and small profit... fun times
