Sounds like a great idea to me. Naturally this website doesn't list what the disadvantages of such as tax form are. Hypothesizing, I would think: -the economy might suffer because people would purchase fewer goods, preferring to either purchase used goods or not purchase at all -the millions of people whose employment depends directly or indirectly on the current structure might have a beef with completely eradicating the IRS and the current tax code What else am I missing? Why is our current tax form better than this one? |

LOL. That's seems like an AC'er argument against the fairtax plan. The liberal welfare staters have arguments against as well.

I'd rather see taxes reformed by cutting income taxes from the bottom up and removing corresponding amounts of subsidies at the same time.
Kind of like what Sweden is doing, actually. |

Repealing the 16th amendment and corresponding wasteful spending in Congress would be the first step. We need to cut the source of funds available for wasteful politicians
