Default Bay Area Omaha Junkies - Bay 101 Open Next Week

$330 Omaha 8 Tourney, Oct 19

Hope this isn't a dupe thread, but I know there's some bay area folks on this forum. Let's represent! I signed up yesterday, I think there's still like 50 slots or so (100 max).

The structure looks bad, but I'm taking the day off and giving it a shot anyway. I'm also planning a late night of drinking on Wednesday, so I should be in prime shape.

I may also play the ME on Sunday, but I hate skipping football .

Wow, even the Foxwoods O8 event has a better structure than this (granted, not by much, and it's a $600 buy-in)

Start with 3K in tourney chips, levels are 50 minutes each and start at 25/25 blinds with 25/50 limits.

Good luck in the event, I'm a right-coaster and haven't gotten out west just yet.

Yeah, it's definitely a [censored] structure. But, the omaha players at bay 101 are so bad, it sorta makes up for it.

translation: I have debts to pay off first so we can purchase our first home, which is more important than a Vegas trip at the moment.

If I make a big score at the O8 tourney at Foxwoods (first should be 40-60 grand depending on turnout) then I'm definetely either taking a Vegas or tropical vacation.

Thanks for posting this. I'll be playing.

PM me if anyone wants to meet up for a cup of coffee or lunch or something.

Or if you want to make a last longer bet

Haha, I bustoed pretty early. The structure was a little better - there were actually 3k starting chips starting at 25/25 with 120 runners and 30 minute levels.

Just the normal combo of good cards not holding up, big draws not coming in, and folding junk that woulda made the nuts. Oh well, thats how it runs sometimes.

Greg - it was good meeting you - hopefully you were able to find some decent games. It sounds like they were running 10/20 .5 kill, which is the first time I've seen that run in a while.

Good meeting you too.

I played in the $4-8 for a bit and then the $10-20 for most of the afternoon. Play overall was pretty weak but there were actually a few players that were decent this time, surprisingly.
