(this converter is kinda whacked, I was BB)

PokerStars ($0.50/$1.00 limit). Hand converted by Check Raised hand converter

Preflop (7 players): Hero is BB with

BTN calls [2.5:1].
1 fold.
BB calls [3.5:1].
UTG calls [4.5:1].
UTG+1 calls [5.5:1].

HERO 2 bets.
BTN calls [7.5:1].
BB calls [8.5:1].

5-handed with no [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I'm tempted to just c/f the flop. After you get 4 flop calls, no way in hell am I putting money in on that turn.

Flop bet is fine. There's a reasonable chance no one has an A in an unraised pot. After 3 calls, I c/f the turn.

Edit: Used my mod-powers to change my final word from "flop" to "turn."

Ok, I may be getting confused here & I may be getting mixed with the AK example in ToP (also I may be getting TOP & HEFAP mixed up as well), but JJ doesn't normally play well multi-way, how about checking PF & going for a c/r on a favourable flop?

Obviously this is not a favourable board.

Any thoughts?

[Edit I realise our equity is good enough to raise PF, just curious about this line]

I'm with Wook. Betting the flop is fine but when you get three calls that's the last money you're putting in the hand unimproved.

I had about the same exact hand tonight and hit 3 J's on the river. Otherwise I was beat.

As I said I'm thoroughly getting confused with another situation.

ie Page 40, HEFAP.

FWIW being a SH player I generally find any excuse to raise PF but I think I've stuffed up with some other theory here somewhere.
