Google Reader (RSS aggregator)
I've been using the latest version of Google Reader for the last few days and I think it's absolutely amazing. I've used RSS feeds for a while now (via Firefox's live bookmarks) but hadn't used RSS aggregators because I found them a bit clunky.
However, Google Reader's interface is now a breeze to use--it's basically an e-mail style inbox with constantly updating sources, which can be divided into groups. Browsing is simple (there are even keyboard shortcuts!), and it's a great way to keep up with the glut of information out there if you check out a bunch of frequently-updated sites on a regular basis. Anyone else using it? What do you think? |

Re: Google Reader (RSS aggregator)
Can you not add RSS feeds to your google/ig homepage already? In what way is this better? The ability to organize them better?

Re: Google Reader (RSS aggregator)
I think the Reader is much more functional in terms of keeping track of read/unread articles and organizing them into groups and whatnot. It's also a lot easier to quickly skim through headlines and choose (and open) articles to read (or tag, or share.)

Re: Google Reader (RSS aggregator)
Outlook 2007 does this too. And you don't have to be online to read downloaded feeds.

Re: Google Reader (RSS aggregator)
I like it. It's much better than the Firefox Live Bookmark thing.

Chris got kind of gay near the end of his presentation. My sphincter tensed up.

Re: Google Reader (RSS aggregator)
I've been using it for a long time and the new version is great. I think it is the best one I've tried.

Re: Google Reader (RSS aggregator)
Is there a stand-alone version of this anywhere? (As opposed to the webpage-based one, I mean.)
