Would you really rather he pretended he knew anything about what was actually going on? Its on plenty of other channels, why should he can the rest of his show when he has little to no info on whats going on?

Was it before or after it was rumored to be Lidle on the plane? If it was before, then it is understandable that a sports talk show wouldn't talk about it.

Also, given the time of your post, are you sure you're getting his show live and not delayed?
