UTG calls $1, MP calls $1, Button calls $1, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($5) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $4</font>, BB folds, UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $12</font>, Button calls $12, Hero calls $8.

CO is 48 9 2, Btn is solid. My plan was to get to showdown w. out going broke, It worked out as planned but was it the best startegy here?

I hate your plan, mostly because it doesn't involve the other guys going broke.

I would make a big re-raise on the flop, and push any turn. Button cold-called $12, indicating that he has the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] most of the time. Make him pay to draw to it. MP likes his hand a lot too, so you might get it all-in on the flop, which would be a great result.

I would be going broke here every time. You beat a ton of lower flushes, which aren't going to fold. If the button just has the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], which is quite likely IMO, then you are only beaten by a Q-high flush.

Not going broke here would be very weak-tight.

Dont check call the turn, you want to get as much money in this pot after that safe turn card fell. Id personally bet the turn hope he raises then 3 bet all in. Your gonna be way ahead here a good majority of the time.
