Default 10s in CO

First hand played at the table. Had played with MP2 before and she's a fairly decent player, button I have never played with before.

Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is CO with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
4 folds, MP2 raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, Button calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
MP2 checks, Hero bets, Button raises, MP2 folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (7.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero?

My thoughts on the flop call were to then C/R on the turn, but then the third diamond fell. Should I continue with my current line or go into WA/WB mode? Any help is appreciated.

you should still check raise the turn. you should have 3-bet the flop. don't do this out of position. there are a lot of cards that will prevent him from betting (this really isnt one of them so the play should still work).

I agree also when you think a flush draw/straight draw is part of his range you shouldn't take any line that will require you to check the turn. This is standard 3-bet and lead territory on such a draw heavy board.

Yeah, a 3-bet on the flop is definitely in order here.

Is this a matter of needing to protect the hand because of the draw heavyness of the board?

It's a matter of betting for value with a very strong holding.

I would 3-bet this flop every time, if he's on a draw he is gonna pay for it.
Usually I will bet out on the turn and if it's raised back to me I will call down unless I improve on the river.

How do you play the river if you fill up? I think I will bet out and hope he has that flush/straight and raise me.

yes.

on a drawless/less drawish board a call could be correct but chances are vil is raising a draw for free card a high % of the time

Um, you're aware we have top set, right?

A bet here is definitely more for value than anything else.
