Default Playing while high

I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I suck with search so am starting a new thread. Poker has basically gotten to the point where it's painfully boring to play unless I'm high. I am somewhat worried about it affecting my play but for the most part I feel like I play the same. I guess my question then is, do you play a lot high, and do you think it makes you play better, worse, or the same?

Why do something that's so boring? Find something interesting to do instead. In fact, if it's interesting enough, you won't feel the need to get high.

How does herb affect a player?
Depends on the person.
I'd guess the regular wake-n-bake crowd has no problem.
I'd think the weekend burner would play weak-tight.
I think the once a month burner would be as lost.

I wouldn't smoke a blunt and decide it's time to learn Omaha Hi-Lo.

All buzzes and the effects on poker player vary from person to person. If it works for you, good for you.

Just be wary of addictive drugs like alcohol, cocaine, meth and nicotine.

Meth is good for multi-tabling (like 10+)!

if you want to play high, i assume you smoke a lot. that being the case, i assume you function relatively normally high. so, grinding your normal games that you play all the time shouldn't be a problem. theoretically it might lower you win rate some, but the actual effect obviously varies from person to person. plenty of expert players will tell you that they play high a lot, some are even always high when they play, but generally these are people are always high period.

i'd think, and from personal experience (some not a ton), most likely problems will be getting more loose-passive, but i play a more loose passive style than most regulars in my games, i play 6max NLHE. but if you are aware of whatever tendancies you have and are making sure to focus and avoid them, you should be fine.

just after you play a bunch of hands high, look back at your sessions sober and see what you think.

!!!!!

Speak for yourself. A nice stable nicotine level is key to playing winning poker.
