I've stayed in the west wing a few times and as I recall the rooms have safes.

I think all the rooms at the MGM do. FWIW I like the Grand Tower rooms better. They're bigger and have a couch, which I like.

The west wing rooms are in what's left of the original hotel on that spot, the Marina. When the new new MegaMGM (to replace what is not Bally's), They integrated the old Marina tower into the new megalith. It is essentially the bank of rooms closest to the strip.

Are those in what they used to call the Emerald Tower? They were cheaper and so far from the casino you wanted to call for a cab.

edit: Holy crap! I remember the old Marina Hotel. I didn't know they left part of it standing.

It's true that you have to walk a ways from the westwing to the casino, however, it is right next to the poker room and sportsbook so I prefer it.

Maybe one end of it is. The other end of the West wing is near downtown. If that's the old Emerald Tower, the first time I was there, I thought I was in a Twilight Zone episode. You literally cannot see the end of the hall, it's so freakin' long. My room was 2 rooms from the far end.
