Problem: Phone goodbyes are awkward.
I have no idea how to end a conversation on the phone without it being awkward. Usually the goodbyes are drawn out to a point where they kind of stall leaving a sense of dissatisfaction. Am I boring to talk to or something? This might be caused by some tendency I have to hurry getting off the phone. I dont know why I have this tendency, or if i actually have it at all. Sometimes when I feel really uncomfortable, I make some lame excuse to get off the phone, like saying that I was in the middle of something. Maybe I should read a book on phone etiquette. Okay, gottta go.

I do the same thing (always hurry to get off the phone), although its not awkward. At least it isn't awkward for me, I just say I gotta go and then...go.

Re: Problem: Phone goodbyes are awkward.
I despise talking on the phone if I'm not at work (and then I only slightly hate it). Who are you talking to when it's awkward? Mom/friends/gf?
