Default 20-40 KK (seems to be trendy)

Good live 20-40 game.

3 bad limpers, Mr. Pink raises in the hijack, Co calls, I 3-bet K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] all call.

6 players, 19.5 sbs.

Flop J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
checked to me, I bet, one limper calls, mr. pink calls, CO check-raises (Co is ex-jets linebacker Mark for those that are in the know, he plays most hands and usually plays them badly, likes to get frisky with nothing and then get scared in later rounds.

Everyone calls.

13.75 BBs

Turn Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
check, check, Mark bets, I raise, limper folds, Mr. Pink calls, Mark folds.

river 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Check, check.

I dunno what his last name is. He's a huge guy. (this is at Borgata if it helps) He likes to talk a lot at the table and is constantly drinking. I see him sometimes playing 10-20 and then he'll step up, lose a few racks in an hour at 20-40 and step back down.

NH. Mr. Pink's cold call is sort of scary, but I think you can bet the river. I think it's unlikely he'd call two bets with 99 given that he could be drawing dead... I also think that we'd see more action on the flop from a flopped set. AQ and KQ (possibly both spades too) are pretty likely, with a slight chance of QQ (which I doubt he'd raise anyway on the river). If he somehow has A9 of spades, he's probably only calling the river bet anyhow... Either way, I think you're ahead much greater than 50% of the time, so I would bet the river.

I dont like the flop , 2 spades are possibly a problem and a lot of weak limit players will play j 10 , q 10 , and even 9 10 s from early position so you could be being beat by 2 pair , any 9 beats you as well of course. I check , how did it turn out ? PS I like to play the 20-40 game at the borgata when I get a chance , dont know Mark but am familar with Jimmy

You said you were playing with an ex-Jet named Mark. That's a picture of Mark Gastineau... who is a famous ex-Jet defensive end.

Anyway, I am torn between 3-betting the flop and waiting for the turn but I think you should def. bet the river.
