Re: trips on the river call or push
Are you serious? I push river all day. You'll get called by worse kings day in day out.

Re: trips on the river call or push
That queen on the board concerns me - kq kj are likely tp hands calling you down to river- that river bet looks like for value.
Absent of reads or anything about villan makes this hand tricky for me. We beat Kx except KQ - if we knew he slowplays to the river I would call the river, but as an unknown I might go with my first thought and minraise the river so he prob. pushes the rest AI. I'm teh suck at river play wihout reads. I'm honestly not sure what to do. |

[ QUOTE ]
We beat Kx except KQ [/ QUOTE ] And K5 and K8. And trips just boated up on us too. Thats what makes this hand very difficult. I think there is enough oddness about check call check call then bet on the river to just call here, I just feel a little uneasy about a push. |

Is it weak to call here because you suspect him having KQ,K5,K8 or slowplayed set here?? |

Re: trips on the river call or push
I'm happier with a $14.50 gain than a $25 loss. The river bet tells me he's holding KQ or 88. I call and get ready to kiss my $ goodbye. Shorthanded to a $1 raise i'd expect he would raise QQ pre-flop so i put him KQ or 88 only.

Re: trips on the river call or push
absent of any reads i push. the average 25nl player is calling with any king.

Re: trips on the river call or push
I don't hate a call. I think this decision is much closer than most people think.

Re: trips on the river call or push
push it - push it goooooooooood.
KJ KT K9 K7 K6 K4 K2 are all calling. This is a microtable and this guy is very likely an idiot. we are worried about precisely 3 hands KQ/K8/88 and there are 7 that he will call and lose with here - this isn't close. Hell he's probably calling with AQ as well. |
