Default WPT Gold Strike WPO - What was with Scotty N.\'s fake call/fold?

Just watching it on Travel Channel. Gavin Smith limps in the SB with QQ. Scotty checks with 29 or something. Flop comes 2-x-x. Gavin bets. Scotty thinks for a while, stacks a few chips, throws a couple in, then tosses his cards in the muck and laughs. Mike Sexton comments on it, saying he was tossing in his small blind or something. I watched it two or three times but can't figure out what happened. Please help me feel less stupid. Thank you.

Sexton was right. Scotty was small blind on the next hand, so he threw in his small blind for the next hand and then folded. Not something that us mere mortals could probably get away with. We don't have enough bling
