Default 200NL Hit an \"out\", but now what?

Hi SSNL -- I'm making the transition from limidonk to no-limidonk and here's a hand that gave me pause. SB is 12/5 over only 42 hands (oo AF, FWIW). Button is passive and fishy.

Anyone play this different on any street? Thoughts on the turn?

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $335.40
Button: $89
SB: $183.80
Hero: $232.90

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $4</font>, SB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($12, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $8</font>, Hero calls, Button folds.

Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($28, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $15</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $40</font>, <font color="#cc0000">SB insta-pushes for $132</font>

Calling the turn has more value.

Fold pf.

I don't think I'm smart enough to get this. I thought I was raising for value. I don't think you're saying that people push all-in when they're trying to stop bluffs...

But if you're saying that I'm just going to fold the hands I'm hoping to get value from and get owned by the others, then I get your point. Is that what you're saying?

I fold this hand usually pre-flop even in 4handed. I will often raise this flop, but a call isn't bad. Definitely call the turn (as napkins said above, this has more value). That being said, if I call the turn I will call any river bet, unless the river came a fourth club (in which case it is not an auto-fold by any means).

You will have no idea where you stand if you get 3bet into on the turn (as is the case here) since he could just as easily be holding the flush, as well as thinking that you are representing the flush while you don't have it (bluffing ). By just calling you show 'weakness' and induce a further bet on the river. If he checks the river then you can value bet.

EDIT: a raise on the turn looks even worse when you take into consideration that you are not holding the strongest straight (he could easily have QT).

OK, well thanks for the advice everyone. I'm starting to catch on to some of these key differences between limit and NL (like the threat of someone dropping the hammer on your good hand overriding your desire to extract value from that hand).

Results in white:

<font color="white">yeah, I folded </font>
