Default 10/20 deeeep, KK oop versus donk lag

this is a pretty tricky hand, especially the river decision. i'd like your thoughts.

villain has 5k and i cover. i think he is a donk lag for the most part and our history is pretty small, just me repopping with AKhearts out of the blinds and giving up on TT9 two diamonds flop.

preflop: he makes it 90, button calls, i make it 400 from the blinds and they both call.

pot it 1200 to a QcTcTx flop. i check. villain bets 400, button folds, i call.

turn is a rag club. I check. He checks.

pot is 2k to river, and river is another ten. So board is QTT4T. three clubs.

i bet 1.5k (?). he shoves for 3k more'ish.

i think the way the hand went down he could (?) be capable of raising a queen on the river, but im not sure. so thats what makes the river sick. whats the best line here? i cant see checking but betting to fold to a raise seems sick.

ys,

I like a check-call here. If I bet, I'm not folding to a push, but I hate calling and seeing a ten so often. I'm basically thinking that he fires a bluff pot-bet with KJ etc enough of the time to make up for the value I lose if he is going to be raising w/ a Q a lot.

Against some players, they will always call a pot bet w/ 66,77 etc on the river but check behind and the flop bet / turn check puts them squarely on that kind of hand. Against those players, I definitely prefer a bet.

I think your good here more often then not. Remember you RR the PF and check called the flop . Looks like mid pair at least pair of JJ or 99. Does he think that you would RR with K10 or A10? Depending on how likely you are to do that plus coupled with the fact that you then checked the turn most not all with check through a mid pair while most will bet their ten on the turn unless their up against SUPER LAG. Does he know that you folded AKs when you RR and folded on a rag flop to a bet. He most likely figures that you would have bet the 10 or a bigger hand than a Q on the turn. But your bet with out the 10 to him most likely doesnt make sense considering how the hand played out. Unless he thinks its a split pot and is trying to represent the case 10 by pushing and getting you to lay down a Q. Only 1500 more into $6500 4 to 1 good here more than 25% of time plus top full CALL if he turns over A10 well then NH SIR!
