Default How to play shortstack poker?

I have recently started to play some shortstack NL CG. I play SH and starts with 12.5 BB and leaves the table when i reach 35BB. Need some advice:

1: Links to articles about this?
2: which hands to play and from which possition?
3: How many BB to buy in with?
4: when to leave the table?
5: Other tings to think about?
6: When you talk about NL CG with maximum buyin it is said that 100BB/100 is good, what is good for shortstack poker?

There's a section in No Limit Holdem Theory and Practice. Also, apply Harington's ideas with an M of 10 or lower.

Getting Started in Hold'em writen by Ed Miller.

Buy in for 20 big bets. You hope to double up, but once you reach 30-35 big bets you have a middle stack. I usually leave and join another game.
You play very tight and aim to get all-in by the flop.
Get the above book.

I have seen posts, somewhere on the Pot-Limit & No-limit Small Stakes/Micro Stakes, but I don't know any links.

I like to play some small stack as a change from limit.

Good luck.

A more important question might be *why* to play shortstack poker...

You are new to NLHE, or are otherwise outclassed by a player with a big stack, particularly one with position on you?

Yeah I've heard those reasons, but I don't really buy it. Given online holdem goes down to like $10max these days I don't see how even a brand new player wouldn't do better by buying in full at a limit (s)he can afford and actually tying to learn to be a poker player and work up in levels. Why anyone would cripple their progression by trying to perfect a restrictive, boring pushbot strategy I don't know.

If you find yourself outclassed by an aggressive player on your left and don't want to pay for the learning experience, there's no reason to stay at the table.
