Default Why lock a thread which states TruePoker\'s position on Affiliates ?

TruePoker has stepped up here and posted a thread explaining that we are going to continue with our US affiliates AND that we welcome new Affiliates who seek to move US players.

That we may be the only site to directly address this issue in this forum should NOT be some basis for locking the thread.

To answer the last poster to the thread:

Our VIP program is for players and does require certain levels of play to receive the up to 40% rakeback offered.

In contrast our rakeback affiliate program is open to affiliates who are genuinely marketing, i.e. have a website and a business model. The rakeback afforded is not dirctly tied to play levels for the players.

Hi,

Your thread brought on many PM's and IM's that felt your post was spam for your affiliate program and needed to be deleted. While I disagreed to some extent I decided since so many felt that way I compromised and locked it.

I think that any poker-site CEO who wishes to state the intentions of their affiliate program for Americans now that we are in a time of uncertainty should be encouraged to do so.

I also feel that if there are Q's about that specific affiliate program and the poker-site CEO wishes to answer those Q's he should be allowed to.

Poker-site CEO's should be welcome to post their intentions for Americans on 2+2.
I only wish there were more like TPCEO who were willing to discuss this stuff with us on here.

Since this thread started I have had others with a different opinion PM me and disagree with the locking along with Bob's post. I have unlocked the other thread.

Yeah, a problem is that no one is going to PM you that a thread should not be locked (unless it has been locked, or at least threatened). Good unlock IMO, I certainly welcome any official statements from poker sites in this time of uncertainty.

Bob, I could not have said this any better myself!

I once again applaud the TPCEO for his longstanding willingness and openness to communicate with the players (and affiliates) on 2+2.

Are there still any TP Condoms left?

Still getting the hang of it, sorry for the poor judgement call.

His post did have a spammy tone to it. With his history of spammy posts, I don;t think you where way off the mark. However, I agree with Bob, we really appreciate CEO's coming and talking with us, even if they are a little spammy.

With your subpar software, you should offer a lot, A LOT more rakeback.
