i doubt that anyone knows the answer to this question. there has been no definitive date as to when bush will sign the bill into law.

I have heard Bush will sign bill within 7 days...

Other sources say up to 2 weeks, but I believe it will be sooner from what I have heard...

Don't count on it, though. Bush caught all manner of hell over the Dubai Ports World incident, so expect him to sign this bill in short order.

Still...it is nice to hope.

It cant be a pocket veto, if he goes 10 days without signing it automatically becomes law. 5 days to go.

So what is the rule with a pocket veto anyway? I thought that if Congress adjourned before the 10 days were up without the bill being signed then it is effectively vetoed.

Not that there is a snowball's chance in hell that this will get vetoed in any fashion.
