Default Hand feedback please? Ts7s

Hi guys, this is a hand I played yesterday on a Party $400NL table. I don't know that much about the initial raiser but I had him pegged for an overpair once the fireworks started. The Button player is a well known TAG player (12/3/2 - and a major winner over 6000 hands on my DB) at this level. So my question is, how did I play this hand? Please include an opinion as to whether or not I was Pot Committed on the final raise.

cheers

LB

Once you check raised to $200, you're committed to the hand obv, as you need to call $198 into $1027, but don't be surprised if you lose the hand, you will not be good often with this action.

Unless you feel they're both on a draw when the bet is $40, it could be said that a worse hand won't call/shove over your CR to $200.

I agree entirely. When I made the Call I felt that I had most likely been duped by the Button player and was behind. So was my Raise to $200 wrong given that it left me pot committed?

Dont ever fold this preflop, and c/r flop

This is because you are getting like 6-1

Secondly, c-r to about 100$ more, and I think that after those two people push depending on how the game is and how tight they are you can call or fold. I dont hate a shove here, but the cold call and then the call of the shove scares me!!

Sorry Percussion, but I am a little confused. I think you are saying that I should have Check/Raised (the Flop) to about $100 instead of $200 and then considered a Fold in light of the subsequent action. Is that what you are saying?

cheers
