Tpgk in a unraised pot. How do we play it?
Unknown villain. Do we just lead out? Or hope someone tries a bluff? Usually I will lead out here, but decided to try something different.

Re: Tpgk in a unraised pot. How do we play it?
i raise PF.
as played, i bet flop. as played, i'd probably just bet the turn. UTG may have just stabbed at the pot on the flop. added: as played, i'd check-raise the flop. |

Raise preflop, then lead the flop, lead the turn etc.....
given how you played it, i would raise the utgs flop bet then i would lead the turn.. |

If you are going to check the flop (a mistake), then raise when u get lucky and someone bets.

Re: Tpgk in a unraised pot. How do we play it?
My line for this hand: automatic preflop raise. Rest of the hand is easy given that - bet, bet, bet.
If I didn't raise preflop, then check/raising the flop is ok (this flop doesn't check through too often), but I'd prefer to bet/3bet. As played, after seriously underplaying your hand, betting the turn is the safest play. You can't let the turn check through, and if you are concerned about extracting the max value for your hand (ie, check/raising), then you should be hating your preflop/flop lines. |

Why can't you let this turn check through?

Why can't you let this turn check through? [/ QUOTE ] You lose value from hands that would call a bet, but would fold to a check/raise or check behind. Giving a free card isn't such a big deal, it's a drawy board, but the pot is small it doesn't really matter. I don't know, though - I would never be in this spot with KQo with 2 limpers. |
