Default So is there hope?

Is this bill guaranteed to pass as-is? Is there any hope at all for a near future change or provision?

Bill is pretty much guaranteed to pass.

At this point, we need to be looking at other options. Will the IG laws hold up as constitutional in court? Will they conflict with WTO laws....and can/will the WTO put enough pressure on the US to do anything about it? Will enough Democrats be elected this fall to tilt the table in Congress...and will they be willing to enact laws countering the current IG laws?

Probably, yes, US don't care, doubtful, very doubtful.

My hope is that during the time they look at how to work the law, banking and telecom industry says how impossible it'd be and the DOJ sweeps it under the rug.
