Playing a Small Stack
So after playing about 40k hands of limit holdem my interest has been drawing towards NL lately and yesterday I read the section about Playing a Short Stack in "Getting started in holdem" and as Im sure this strategy makes it easy for the beginners to beat the game, it is still easy for the pros to beat the small stacks. Im a little stunned by how easy the NL games can be beaten... However the big question here is; How many BB/100 can you expect to win while playing short stack?
And a more general question: I have gotten the impression that the variance is much lower in NL. By how much? Is there some way to express how much lower the variance is compared to limit?
And finally; How is the variance playing short stack compared to playing full stack?
