Horrible fold. I would have trouble folding this for 100 bbs, much less 45bbs. You play suited connectors for situations like this.

Im also would play it differently on occasions and depending on my reads/recent history with villians, but this would be my default play.

so your default play is to:

1) buy in for 45BB
2) string bet
3) open for 3BB
4) raise a SC UTG when shortstacked
5) cbet for 1/2 pot
6) fold 2pair for another 37BB when vaillains can easily have QJ/any ace

funny, b/c all 6 of them are NOT my default plays

Fold preflop when you are this short. SC lose alot of value, your implied odds drop significatly, especially since you raised. They rarely hit, and when they do, it's usually a draw.

Your fold equity is also less when short. Therefore semi-bluffs that you typically make with SC lose respect because the opponent has less than half of his stack at risk.
