Re: These spots get me into a WORLD of hurt
Your hand is probably good at the moment. 55 99 89 are slim in numbers and would usually raise the flop; 67s is possible. TJ xxss 9T 9J are plentful and you'd love so remove the better hands and the draws and get action from Acc, that's a big pay off and a frequent payoff which imo overweights the times you lose your draw and his stack against 67s.

you hand may be good, but you now a good draw as well. In these situasions I feel its better to take a free card and maybe get your heart and most likly the best hand on the river. If it was not a heart that had came on the turn, I would bet it and hopefully take it down and if called check the river.

Re: These spots get me into a WORLD of hurt
I was fairly certain the correct play (in most ppls eyes) is to check here. I check sometimes but most often i like to attack when someone checks to me on such a draw heavy board and represent a made hand. Isn't this a perfect spot for semi bluffing? Betting without the best hand (or it may even be the best hand) and if u are called by a better hand u have a legitimate chance to improve to the best hand?
Why give him a free card to his draw? and if i am behind he's probably only goign to min raise me on the turn because thats what ijit donkeys do haha so ill call and reevaluate on the river |
