I missed the segment on ESPN talking about half of Gold's winnings being held pending an investigation, I searched the forum and couldnt find anything that explained it. What exactly happened?

Nutshell as I understand it:
Apparently Gold had an agreement to give Leyser half his winnings after taxes for some work he did for him, and left him a voice mail to this effect, which Leyser has as evidence. Visit defamer.com and put in Jamie Gold for more info...

Dude is a producer. He knows about contracts. Why would he agree to give someone half of his winnings? I'm sure he's heard of a sliding scale before (50% of my first $x; 30% of the next $y; etc.)

no, its because bodog had one seat for the two of them. They both wanted the seat, a compromise was reached.
