What does villain hold?
Villain is 15/8/3 multitabling donk
Hero is slightly laggy at the moment Hero has XX Everyone folds to villain on the button who raises $4, hero calls in the BB. Flop. Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero checks, villain checks. Turn. 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks, villain checks. River. T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero bets $5, villain thinks then raises to $12, hero raises to $ 30, villain thinks then raises to $60, hero pushes. What are villains likely holdings? |

Re: What does villain hold?
how about J9?
I don't think villain checks QQ twice here. He's gotta get money in at some point. 88 is a possibility. |

Re: What does villain hold?
yeah well people frequently do stupid stuff w/ top set.
i personally think TT is his most likely hand here by far. but the only other options that make sense to me are 88 and QQ. with his stats and this river action i think you can discount J9, T8, 33. also he's 4-betting the river after flop + turn checked. i would only be pushing here in your spot with QQ, 88, or TT myself. this guy plays 15% of his hands. his range isn't exactly big here. it's a mistake to ask yourself "what hands could a good player do this with?" or "how SHOULD villain have played a monster here?" the fact of the matter is that he's 4-betting you after raising PF and checking 2 streets. and his stats don't exactly indicate him to be a serial bluffer. jon |
