The 2+2 philosophy of raising which seems to work well is raise 4xbb + 1x the # of limpers. The more people who limp before you, the more meaningless your raise is and the more correct it will be for every single person after you (and all the limpers) to call. Not to mention, you get more value in while you have the best hand. |

Well if he's got trips, he'd probably be more inclined to wait for the turn to raise. He's decided to play this fast. He could be raising a flush or a straight draw, or with something like KK-JJ. You are in EP so the hand is difficult to play after villain's flop raise. I'd probably still call the flop.
