88 BB Steal Defense
I have no reads on villain.

Re: 88 BB Steal Defense
He capped. Just fold, you are only beating AQ and very, very rarely AJ. And even those hands have ten outs against you.

Re: 88 BB Steal Defense
The question boils down to what hand range is it plus EV to play this against after the flop given the size of the pot and implied odds vs. the likelyhood that your opponent is playing that hand range or worse (higher EV than the +EV threshold for our hero).

Re: 88 BB Steal Defense
I did fold. It just sucked to have to give up so easily, especially when I feel like I haven't been going to SD enough recently.
If the flop had been 10 6 2 rainbow, how would the plan change? |

Re: 88 BB Steal Defense
Then I'd call down and fold to an A.

Re: 88 BB Steal Defense
The advice suggested so far seems very weak to me. Maybe my perception is skewed because I've been playing higher limits but I at least call the flop here and reevaluate on the turn. If the flop came 10 6 2 I would c/r the flop or bet/3bet and lead all the way probably folding to more aggression.

Re: 88 BB Steal Defense
He capped, but it's a BSB and you have position. I think
you can use your position to see the turn. I also think reads are vital. |
