Default 2/4 B&M - lookit the girly man play his AA

2/4 B&M, 10 handed, loose & passive table (6/7+ to flop)

Villain (MP1) is very loose gambler preflop (sees 75% of flops, does the odd straddle). Postflop raises usually mean she has a hand, otherwise she usually just calls down with marginal "made" hands.

PreFlop: Hero is BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG calls, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls, Villain calls, 3 folds, Button calls, SB completes, Hero raises, everyone calls

Flop: (6 players, 12 SB) Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG folds, UTG+2 calls, Villain raises, Button folds, SB folds, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls

Turn: (3 players, 9 BB) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero checks, UTG+2 checks, Villain bets, Hero calls, UTG+2 folds

River: (2 players, 11 BB) 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks...

After thinking about this hand afterwards, I kinda think I played every street wrong (except obvious preflop). Do I have to auto 3bet this flop? It's possible Villain just raised a flush or straight draw but for some reason I always seem to think the worst and put her on two pair. Should I have led the turn to make sure not to give a free card and/or for value? And the river card really helps me if she has QT, so should I be betting for value here (even though I could be betting into a Q6, T6, 66 or flush)?

First off I love the title of the post!

Calling the flop raise as opposed to 3 betting is not a horrible idea, if you had the Ace of spades that would be a different story.

As played I would have bet the turned blank. This will give you a good idea of what you are up against.

Crappy river card. Call it down getting 11:1 odds.

Peace,
Mygtar

With low limit B&M games, Aces get cracked all the time. You could have just checked PF and raised on the expensive streets (because raising PF from the BB isn't going to get anyone to fold a hand that will draw out on you anyway). But the way you played it, 3 bet the flop, bet turn, check-call river (which might have given you a better 2-pair). Then teach yourself not to tilt when bullets get cracked in low limit games.

Raise the aces, and jam as much money into the pot as possible until someone lets you know you're beat, then either call down or fold from there.

We should hope that everyone calls our raise when we get AA.

Perhaps I was wrong to suggest just checking PF. My point was to sucker them in and raise a loose table when the bets on 4th street double. See "Loose Games" in Hold'em For Advanced Players.

Bye doing this, you are burning 2.5BB preflop with the nuts. You cannot make this up postflop.

And they are going to chase regardless.

And someone said to check call the river. Check calling the river at low level B+M is death. When you check call vs. calling station, you always lose.

In this hand, I would 3bet the flop, they would all just call.

I'd bet the turn, they all call.

I'd bet the river, and if a passive fish raises, I'd fold. Next hand.
