Default win rates

I'm interested to know what win rates players around here achieve in terms of BB/100. What is considered an average rate? What do the professionals achieve?

I've just started using poker tracker and over the first 810 hands I'm at 2.76BB/100 2 tabling at 1/2 6max

PS - Sorry this has probably been asked a million times I did try searching but oculdn't find what I was looking for.

810 hands isn't even a drop in the bucket. As has been said just win. Worry about playing each hand correctly, winrate will follow.

with proper table selection, you could hit 5500 BB/100.

Im really curious too because I remember not long ago hearing that winrates from 1-3BB/100 (long run) were possible but now I seem to hear a lot about being greater than 1.5 as very good.

Anything above 2bb/100 for longer than 100k is amazing IMO.. I think the games are slowly becoming tougher and more aggressive (not to say they aren't still very beatable).. Reported winrates seem lower than if you look through threads 8 monthes or a year ago.. The magnitude of downswings also seems to have increased (haha, I'm NOT just speaking from personal experience).

I'm also much more aware how longterm the longterm really is.. My 1st 100k hands were pretty much "variance-free", and I enjoyed a healthy 2bb/100 winrate.. Although I'm positive that I'm a much better player now than during that stretch, I've struggled tremendously for my most recent 70k..

If you are interested in reading more regarding winrates/variance, open the search function and do this:

-topics newer than 1 year/but older than 4 monthes
-highlight the "Texas Hold'em" or "Small (or Mid) Stakes Short-Handed" forums
-beneath the search box, select "in subject" rather than "in subject and body"
-type search term "winrates", "downswings", "breakeven" or whatever, and you'll have tons of great threads to look through.

Looking through those threads has given me a much greater understanding of variance, and what to expect in shorthanded games.

Good luck.

What Im curious about is if 1-1.5 BB is attainable in full ring LHE (easy mechanical game) isnt it pretty stupid to play SH (harder requires more time to learn) for maybe another .5BB/100, a few more hands per hour (can be fixed by more tables), and tons more variance? I say this while currently playing SH LHE for the record.
