Default 2/4 TT

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Villain is fairly new to the table so I have no reads, just stats.

32/7/1.5/80

I am always a little unsure about the correct approach to hands like this when Villain leads the flop. Is raising the flop the best value or should I wait for the turn and a favorable card? Should I raise at all? How much value should I give my spade?

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, UTG calls.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="blue"> Hero?? </font>

Raise the flop for value. Call down a spade.

I would raise this flop. I believe it's an easy raise at the flop.

If you hit your flush I think it's good more often than it isn't. However, I wouldn't raise with it. He is likely to reraise anything better and fold anything worse.

So, with a flush, I'd call if bet into, and bet if checked to. I'd call any check-raise.

I would usually raise in this situation. His bet seems a little fishy as you raised pre-flop. If he had the flush already wouldn't he c/r you?

Peace,
Mygtar

I would play like UTG if I had let's say an 8. It is a scary flop and he has some fold equity to exploit by his position. That said, I think villian is betting quite light and I think you raise him for value here.
As far as the Ts goes, I would play it quite aggro with a single non pf raising opp given that the flush hits (one third of the time)

Default Turn poll

You raise the flop, he calls. The turn is 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], he checks...

Screw the poll, what I wanted to say was that betting and calling down a check/raise is bad.
