Default flopped trips. Should I have gotten away from this?

Party Poker: 25nl 6-max

Stacks
Hero: $50
Villain: $25

Action folds to hero.

Hero is Jh10h on the button

Hero raises to $1.25
SB (villain) calls

Flop: ($2.75) 10s, 10d, 8h

Villain checks
Hero bets $2.25
Villain raises $5.00
Hero calls $2.75

Turn: ($12.75) 2C

Villain checks
Hero bets $11
Villain pushes $18.75
Hero calls $7.75

Total pot: $50

As you can imagine, villain had Q10 and took the pot. I’m wondering now if I shouldn’t have been more cautious on the turn because of his check raise on the flop. I discounted this move, because I had been playing fairly aggressive at this table and felt like he thought I was c-betting on the flop. Should I stop kicking myself or should I have been able to get away from this one?

Thanks

Any previous reads? As played, I'm thinking were ahead here so I may have checked behind on the turn, to give him a chance to fire at the river.

I just don't see how your getting away from this hand. Just put him on your buddylist, because if he's willing to call a raise w/ QT in the SB, then that's someone you want to be playing with.

Yeah, by the time he pushes on you, you have to see it out for another $7.75. There was no flush danger so you could have opened with say $8, on the turn... but assuming he still reraises all-in... well I would have still called him.

Am I wrong?

That minraise on the flop could very well have been villain with an OE trying to take it down then and there. I 3bet the flop and stack him. Villain could have thought you were trying to steal the blinds and decided to raise you when he thought you were cbetting on the flop. Most of the time you'll be good here.
