Calling station in weekly SNG
I play in a weekly SNG game that, for the most part, has the same people in it every week. Everyone at the table are solid players except for one. She is somewhat new to the game and is a calling station. The size of a raise behind her does not matter, if she already has money in the pot, she is going to call. She seems to win a good percentage of these SNG's by catching cards and putting a bad beat on people.
What is the best defense against this type of player? |

Re: Calling station in weekly SNG
Yeah, don't bluff, don't c/b with AK,AQ,etc near as often & when you get a big pair, be sure and raise & then value the hell out of it.

Re: Calling station in weekly SNG
It's pretty simple: When you have a hand, bet it hard. When you don't, don't bet. You can't bluff a calling station.

What is the best defense against this type of player? [/ QUOTE ] You don't need a defense as she lauches no offensive. Your strategy should be: value bet vigorously and do not bluff. Loose-passives are the easiest types of players to beat. |

His reply was not an insult toward you, just inappropriate in regards to the gender of your opponent. |
