During a session review, my partner and I discussed the various trade-offs of multitabling. As a result, I would like to hear what others in this forum think on the subject.

Except when I am recovering from a downswing I SINGLE TABLE
because I cannot play my best poker otherwise. There are just so many opportunities that exist to take money from these tables especially against those that aren't paying attention, even those that are multitabling that are otherwise good players. Its probably why I am not able to play 18/10 poker and always end up playing 25/15 poker instead. |

Well you may not be able to play you're best poker. But if you play 1 table 100% and take 10 bucks that's 10 bucks and if you play 2 tables 80% and take 8 bucks each that's 16 bucks.....so which would you rather? Also keep in mind that the fewer tables you play the more you probably learn because you pay more attention to it, but that's not even necessarily true.
Anway I'll probably never come back into this forum again. I just happened to click on the latest post in here from the main menu. Good luck to everybody. |

I think if you're playing online and playing for money, you're cheating yourself by not learning how to play 3 tables minimum. However, I also think most multitablers would do well to single-table once in awhile just to keep themselves from falling into a stagnant autopilot game.

I wanted to vote 2-3. I feel discriminated against for not being able to do so.

I usually flip-flop between 4 and 8 tables.
I have a hard time concentrating when playing only one table. Maybe I shouldn't keep so many shiny things on my desk... |

I play one unless I'm in hurry to do a bonus... then I do 4-6 tables.
