Default Anaylzing STT success; Moving up

I have played 600 $10 + $1 Single SnGs this year. I have average a $3.75 return per game.

Is there a certain rate that Single SnG players use as a benchmark for success. Is there a certain number for number of cashes, or number of first places that a player should strive for to be successful at a certain level?

Also, at what point should a player know that they can move up to say $20 + $2 Single SnGs? If I do move up, How long would you need to play before you know you belong there and if you should move down?

Thanks for taking the time.

No

No, although most players on here strive to get first 100% of the time.

Whenever said player feels like it.

The same amount of time it takes to know that you belong at the $11s.

the first time i went up i wasnt ready. this was after success over around 400 11's and 300 6's with a good roi in each.

i wasnt ready for the swings because losing 10 buy-ins, which is standard is $220 and that was a lot of money to me then. my bankroll was around 800.

i ended up breaking about even but had no confidence and moved back down and went on a downswing. this made my confidence go to nothing and i switched to cash games and went busto there.

once you know that you making the right decisions and your roi is decent over at least 1000 sngs, then your ready as soon as you have the confidence.

Move up when you are ready. You should be able to have a decent feel for if you can beat the level regardless of your results.

Just look at your competition. Are they outplaying you? Do you feel intimidated?

You've played over 1000 sngs, you should be able to tell by now when you are running good and when you are running bad. If you move up, feel you are not running bad, but lose. Move back down. Simple as that.
